12 novembre 2012: uno Stitch'nd Spritz frenetico

Questa scorsa domenica, probabilmente a causa del maltempo, lo Stitch'nd Spritz era veramente affollatissimo e pieno di sorprese!!! In primis le lane acquistate in quel di Bruxelles da me medesima.

per voi, o donne lontane dalle Sperdute lande del Nord Est, il reportage sarà i prossimi giorni.

Ancora un po' di pazienza, zanzare insistenti!!! :)

Last Sunday the Stitch'nd Spritz was really very crowded, most probably owing to the bad weather . It was also full of wonders!!!! First of all the wools that I purchased in Bruxelles. In the next few days I shall make my due report to you ladies lost in these far and wild northern lands. A little more patience, you insisting mosquitos!!! :) 

Innanzitutto diciamo che ci sono 3 nuove socie dell'Associazione e che questo ci fa moltissimo piacere!
Una, addirittura, ci conosce da ben 2 anni, ma solo ora appare, strappandosi agli impegni familiari e sfidando le intemperie per venire... quale animo pieno d'ardore, quale spirito di sacrificio!

First of all we must mention that 3 new members joined the Association and for that we are really very pleased . One of the new members has been knowing us already for 2 years, but she showed up here only today, tearing herself away from the familiar duties and facing the bad weather......what a fierce mind and spirit of sacrifice!!!

Diciamo anche che i nuovi progetti solo abbozzati nei mesi precedenti stanno pian piano prendendo forma con l'entusiasmo di tutti! Questo vuol dire per me montagne di carte da riempire, ma pazienza, sono molto contenta così!
Ci sono stati lieti ritorni di persone che non si vedevano da tempo... ecco che riappare l'ExCollegaDelMaritoSuoMalgradoMacrobiotica.
Certo è che il clima dello Stitch'nd Spritz ti entra nel sangue! Una volta frequentato e conosciuto non si può fare a meno di apprezzarlo!!!

We must also mention that the new projects just outlined in the previous months are now being properly developed making everyone enthousiastic! This means that I shall have hundreds of papers to fill in, but I don't mind, it's OK !
There have been happy returns of people which didn't show up for ages.... here is the macrobotic-inspite-of-her-past-colleague-of-the-husband-.
It's certain that the Stitch'nd Spritz's spirit gets into your blood! Once you have attended and you known the Association, you cannot help appreciating it!!

Come al solito, eravamo talmente tante che abbiamo dovuto sistemarci in doppia fila.

As usual, we were so many that we had to arrange our sitting places in two rows.

Ma questo non ci ha fermate, ANZI!!! Non siamo mica knitter da niente... ci si ingegna e si sfratta il povero internettaro che, alla vista di tanto lanoso entusiasmo e di tale knittosa frenesia, ha resistito circa 5 minuti nella sua postazione, fuggendo poi spaventato all'ennesimo "HoPersoUnPuntooooooo!!!"

But this didn't stop us. ONTHE CONTRARY! We are not people of little importance!!!.... we managed in such a way that a poor internet user resisted no longer than 5 minutes to that frenetic knitting and freightened run away when he heard a further scream "I loooooost a stitch!!!".

Come sempre si è passato molto tempo a dare consigli e pareri sui lavori altrui, richiesti e non.
Abbiamo sfoggiato i nostri esperimenti.
Abbiamo scambiato schemi e suggerimenti.

As usual we passed much of the time in giving advices and opinions on somebody else's works.
We showed our experiments.
We exchanged patterns and suggestions.

E... sorpresa, sorpresa... questa volta avevamo il primo uomo-knitter!!! Chi mi conosce sa quanto questo sia un traguardo per me e per qualsiasi organizzatore di Stitch'nd Bitch... un uomo-knitter è come l'Araba Fenice, come una pepitona d'oro, come un'orchidea tropicale rarissima da sfoggiare all'occhiello!

E noi ce l'avevamo.

Traguardo raggiunto, posso morire felice.

And... surprise, surprise! This time we had the first knitting man! The ones who know me know very well that this is a real goal either for me and for every organizer of Stitch'nd Bitch meetings... a knitting-man is like the Arabian Phoenix, just like a golden big nugget and an extremerely rare tropical orchid to be shown on the botton-hole!

And we had him!

Goal reached! I could die in peace!!! 

L'uomo-knitter, però, è per sua natura schivo, per cui sarà noto come ColuiCheNonVuoleEssereFotografato.
L'essere schivo non gli ha impedito di socializzare con le due signore turche presenti, che non hanno voluto essere fotografate nemmeno loro, formando, così, assieme all'uomo-knitter, l'Angolo Oscuro del nostro ritrovo.
L'essere riservato, inoltre, non ha impedito all'uomo-knitter di allontanarsi alla fine dell'incontro impugnando il lavoro fatto nel pomeriggio all'urlo di:"ancora una riga!!!"

The knitting man is in turn very shy so he will be known ad "the-man-who-doesn't-want-to-be-photographed".
Shyness didn't prevent him from socializing with the two Turkish ladies who joined us: neither did they did want to be photographed, so we can well say that they formed the "Black Hole" of our meeting.
His timidity however did not prevent the knitting man to go away holding in his hands the work performed in the afternoon screaming "One more stitch!!!"
