On a cool afternoon of the end of August we met for the so expected and published on the newspapers event: the dressing of the trees!
We were many and full of enthusiasm; considering the fact that both the time and the day did not allow us to palm off the children to the husbands, they also came with us!
Many people filled us with requests and all kind of enthusiastic comments.
When the moment came, shouting "Pull! Pull!" we spread the outcome of a working Summer on the trunk of the first tree (that one having 4 meters and 20 centimeters of circumference!)
And all at once willing hands firmly sewed it!
A group photo was obligatory!!!!
And also the children's help...
And here is the first tree properly dressed!
Le nostre mani (e le nostre lingue) non sono state ferme un momento.
We immediately cointinued our job on the second tree! Our hands (and our tongues!) did not stop for a single moment!
And the second tree was shortly dressed as well!
Very quietly and peacefully two of us stood aside and decided to dress a tree on their own...
... but they did not remain alone for a long time!
In a twinkling of an eye also the last smaller tree was ready!
As we could not run out of anything, we immediately started to work again to make use of the remaining pieces!
With this performance the works at the Giardino Pubblico are almost finished and we feel really satisfied and happy to have personally contributed to the Urban Knitting Project with this small installation.
