World Wide Knit In Public Day 2014 a Trieste

Ma anche no, diciamo allora a tutte coloro fossero a Trieste e volessero partecipare!
Come ogni anno ogni città nel mondo fissa un giorno per il "World Wide Knit In Public Day", cioè lo "sferruzzamento in pubblico" e quest'anno la settimana designata è quella che va dal 14 al 22 giugno 2014!
Dobbiamo questa iniziativa a Danielle Landes, che nel 2005 lanciò il World Wide Knit in Public Day: da allora gli appuntamenti si sono estesi a tutto il mondo e lo Stitch'nd Spritz è ormai al quarto anno di partecipazione, dopo i grandi successi degli scorsi anni.
Così sono molto contenta di annunciare che quest'anno il WWKIPD a Trieste si svolgerà durante l'intera giornata di sabato 14 giugno dalle 9 di mattina alle 19 di sera presso il Caffè Teatro Verdi (piazza Verdi n° 1/b, proprio accanto al Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi).

Cosa si fa durante la giornata? Lo dice il nome stesso, si sferruzza in pubblico ognuna il proprio lavoro, dichiarando in questo modo che il knitting e il crocheting non sono attività manuali morte, ma anzi, godono di ottima salute!
Avete poco tempo? Non importa, partecipate anche solo per 5 minuti!
Avete i bambini appresso? Pazienza, potranno giocare nella piazza antistante il bar.
Soffrite il caldo? Ci sono gli ombrelloni.
Il freddo? Sferruzzeremo una copertina.
Avete sete? Ci sono gli ottimi drink del Caffè Teatro verdi.
Fame? Il caffè fa degli ottimi panini.
Insomma, abbiamo una risposta per tutto, vedete?

Announcement reserved to triestine ladies… but even not only to them! Then to all those who would be in Trieste and would be willing to participate!
As it happens every year, each city in the world fixes a day for the “World Wide Knit in Public Day”, i.e. the “ knitting in public” event; this year the fixed week is going from 14 to 22 June 2014.
This initiative is due to Danielle Landes, who initiated the World Wide Knit in Public Day in 2005; from then on the appointments spread out in all the world; this is already the fourth year of participation by the Stitch and Spritz, after the big success of the past years.
I am therefore very pleased to announce that this year the WWKIPD will take place during the whole day of Saturday 14th June 2014 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the "Caffè Teatro Verdi" (Piazza Verdi No. 1/b) just close to the Verdi Theater of Trieste.

What shall we do during the whole day? The name is self explaining: we shall knit in public, each one of us with her own work, just to clearly show that knitting and crocheting are no longer dead manual activities, but on the contrary they are in perfect health.
You have not time? It doesn’t matter, you can participate even for 5 minutes only!
You have your children with you? Never mind! They can play on the place in front of the bar.
Too hot to sit there? There are the umbrellas!
Too cold? We shall knit a little cover!
Are you thirsty? There are wonderful drinks at the Caffè Teatro Verdi.
Hungry? The bar is also serving very good sandwiches.
In the end, we have an answer for everything, you see?
